Your tour itinerary

Step 1: Skip the Line at the Colosseum

We start our tour off at the city’s most popular site, the Colosseum. With Skip-the-Line Access, you won’t waste time waiting in line. Your expert English-speaking guide will take you straight inside, telling you stories of gladiators, animals, and emperors to bring these ancient stones to life. Wander the first and second levels of the amphitheater built for an audience of 82,000 and imagine what it must have been like to be there during combat — or when this incredible structure was filled with water for the re-enactment of a sea battle.

Step 2: Palatine Hill

Of course, there’s more to Ancient Rome than the Colosseum. Palatine Hill is home to the city’s oldest ruins, as the birthplace of Rome, while the Roman Forum has taught us volumes about what life was like at this time. With Skip-the-Line Access here too, you’ll have more time with your expert guide and small group sizes, making it easy to ask all the questions that are on your mind.

Step 3: Rome's Renaissance Landmarks

We’ll take a break so that you can get lunch (not included, but your guide can provide you with recommendations nearby), before reconvening near a metro stop in the historic center of Rome. Here, you’ll meet another expert guide and be given another headset so you won’t miss a word. During our walking tour, we’ll delve more into Renaissance Rome, visiting Bernini’s Fountain of Four Rivers, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. We’ll also see Raphael’s tomb at the incredible Pantheon, whose enormous ancient dome remains a marvel of engineering even today.
