  • Driving to the peak of the volcano, and taking in the views over the protected archeological sites below
  • Taking the scenic route on your way to Pompeii, with a refreshing boat ride along the stunning Sorrento coast

Tour Itinerary:
Stop 1: Sorrento Coast Cruise
After being picked up at your hotel by private coach, you'll head with your group and guide to the port of Piano di Sorrento. There, you'll board a semi-private motorboat for the 30-minute cruise to Castellammare di Stabia (where you'll board a coach for the quick ride to Pompeii.) Your boat ride will bring you past some of Sorrento's most beautiful coastal scenery.

Stop 2: Pompeii

When the volcano of Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D., it not only completely buried this adjacent city—it entombed it. Today, the excavated ruins here
comprise one of the most remarkably preserved ancient sites in the world. You’ll get to roam through the streets walked by early Pompeiians; you can also peek into the temples, houses, theaters, and even brothels where they once spent their days.
Most haunting of all are the plaster casts of human remains you may see at the site, which show the poses, and even facial expressions, of long-ago
Pompeii residents in their final moments.

IMPORTANT: From November to March, the live guide in Pompeii will be provided once the group as reached the minimum required of 6 passengers, up to 5 passengers we will provide audioguides

Stop 3: Mount Vesuvius

Once you’ve seen, and learned about, the devastation that resulted from the ancient eruption of Mount Vesuvius, and had a light lunch, you'll rejoin your group for a drive up to the top of Mount Vesuvius itself—still considered an active volcano, though it's largely dormant. If you wish, you may hike to the peak of the mountain for  spectacular views below.
