Papal Audience Experience with Pope Francis

Since he was elected Pope, Francis I —who is known for his close interaction with congregants—has drawn record crowds to the Papal Audience held each Wednesday in the Vatican City.  While tickets to attend the Papal Audience are free, organizing the trip can be difficult. Tour Itinerary:

After meeting your guide,  you’ll be ushered through St. Peter’s Square to your spot—specially chosen to be close to the Pope as he passes by. While you wait, your guide will inform you about the traditions and history of the Papacy (using headsets so you can hear above the noise of the crowds). When Pope Francis takes the stage, you’ll get to watch as he and his Cardinals say give homilies and blessings, and join in with hymns and prayers in several languages.

Important to Know:

• Please be sure to arrive at the tour departure point 15 minutes before the starting time. Guests arriving after departure cannot be accommodated, and missed tours or tickets will not be refunded.

• Wear clothing that covers your knees and shoulders. Attending the Papal Audience requires strict adherence to these dress codes.

• Unfortunately, wheelchairs and strollers cannot be accommodated on this tour.

• Depending on the time of year, the location of the Papal Audience may be subject to change. In warm-weather months the Audience is typically held outdoors at St. Peter’s Square; during colder months it takes place in the Sala of Paul VI within the Leonine Walls of the Vatican City. Regardless of its location, your tour purchase will guarantee your entry

Important to Know:

• Please note that due to current Coronavirus, the Italian Government's directives and safety policies, all customers will be required to bring and wear it’s own mask during the entire visit. Temperature checks will also take place at tour venues; if your temperature is above 37.5°C you will unfortunately not be able to attend the tour.

• Please be sure to arrive at the tour departure point 20 minutes before the starting time. Guests arriving after departure cannot be accommodated, and missed tours or tickets will not be refunded.

• Unfortunately, wheelchairs and strollers cannot be accommodated on this tour.

• Please note that the ferry ride to Cinque Terre will occasionally be affected by adverse weather and sea conditions. If you are predisposed to motion sickness, please take necessary precautions before your journey.

• This tour runs rain or shine.

Important to Bring: 

• Good walking shoes. The tour includes both hillside paths and stairs.

• A hat, sunscreen, and bottled water. Many parts of the itinerary are not shaded.

Terms and conditions: 

• You can cancel or modify your tour date and time up to 96 hours before arrival/ departure free of charge. If your tour modification is of greater value, you are subject to the price increase. 

• Any cancellations made within 96 hours and no-shows are non-refundable.

• Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by at least one adult to join a tour or an activity.

• Bookings are subject to place and language availability. During our tours, the official guides and Accompanying Services could be performed in various languages.
